Art Exchange: Moving Image is a cross-cultural curatorial professional development and exhibition programme for early to mid-career visual arts curators from Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, taking place from 2023–2027. The programme supports curators selected through open calls to work with and respond to moving-image works from the British Council Collection.
The first editions of the programme were managed by LUX, the UK agency for the support and promotion of artists working with the moving image, on behalf of the British Council, and delivered in partnership with Guest Artists Space Foundation, Nigeria for the Sub-Saharan Africa edition (2023–2025) and the Art South Asia Project (ASAP) for the South Asia edition (2024–2026).
The upcoming Sub-Saharan Africa edition (2025–2027) will be supported by the British Council and delivered by Breinstorm Brand Architects, a strategic design and storytelling firm, together with IQOQO, a platform connecting creatives and cultural organisations across the continent.
